Our History

In February 1890, the first worship service was held in the original church located at 9th and Indian. Services were held there until October 1990, when they moved to the new location. The groundbreaking for the current church located at 1320 Baxter Street in St. Paul was held on March 18, 1990, with construction beginning the next day. On October 21, 1990, the first service was held in the new building. The new church was consecrated on January 21, 1991. An auction of the contents was held prior to the old building being razed on February 5, 1992. In February of 1992, the bank mortgage was repaid, and by March of 1993, all indebtedness had been repaid. Mortgage burning and dedication of this new building took place on May 23, 1993, with Bishop Joel Martinez and District Superintendent Gil Karges participating. Twenty-five plus years later, we are still going strong and are an active part of the St. Paul community.
